Forty years on the roof, twenty in business

Craig has been roofing since 1986. He started CMH Leadwork & Roofing Services as a sole trader in 2005 and incorporated it in 2020, and he holds a City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 as a Roof Slater and Tiler. He worked in Bristol before moving down to Dorset, and the business is run from Abbotsbury now, which is why most of the work is around Weymouth, Portland, Dorchester and Bridport.

The business takes its reputation from the feedback it gets. Everything from minor repairs, storm damage and chimney work through GRP flat roofing, Velux windows, PVC-u guttering, fascias and soffits, to substantial re-roofs and new builds.

The name gives away the speciality. Leadwork is the part of a roof that most often goes wrong and most often gets done badly, and it is the part Craig is known for. Everything else on the roof follows from that: repairs, chimneys, flat roofs, guttering and full re-roofs, all done by the same pair of hands.

Because the person who quotes the job is the person who does it, you get a straight answer about what a roof needs and what it does not.
